Burial: Not known - The Peoria cemetery is among the oldest cemeteries in Hill County located just to the west of Hillsboro. I walked this cemetery looking for markers of Bourland's and related families. There are many unmarked grave, broken, and unreadable rombstones.

Elizabeth is listed as the spouse of Gabriel Bourland in the 1880 census along with children L. P. , James H, A J (?), and L. T. - Elizabeth's birthplace is listed as Tennessee, and that is also the listed birthplace of her parents. The next available census record of 1900 show Gabriel married to Sarah A, his second wife. The oldest child from this second marriage was born in 1889, so it is supposed that Elizabeth died between 1880 and 1888.

Gabriel Bourland married his second wife in June of 1888. Presumably Elizabeth Jane Eaton passed away before then.
