Notes:

Lihue Parker Bourland was born in Alabama in 1874. When L P was eight months old his family migrated to Hill County, Texas, where "L. P." is listed in residence with his Parents, Gabriel and Elizabeth Bourland. In 1898 he married Minnie Roberta Roberts in Hill County. In 1900 the family moved to Taylor County, Texas, settling in the Union Community. The next census record of L. P. is the 1920 Census. No census record has been located for 1900, 1910, or 1930. No census records can be located for his brother James Henry Bourland for 1900 or 1910.

The sister of L P and James Bourland, Martisa "Tishie"May Bourland, married John David Roberts about 1899. John David Roberts was the brother of Minnie Roberts, who married L P in 1898. John and "Tisha" Roberts are in residence with John's parents in the 1900 census. Like her Brothers, no census record has been found for John and Tisha Roberts for 1910. However, John's parents have moved to Abilene and are living with with daughter and son-in-law, Mary and John Peter Carr.

Four children are born to LP and Minnie. Elizabeth and William "Bill" Bourland would remain in the Abilene area.

L P died in 1947. His wife Minnie died in 1959. They are buried together in the Abilene Municipal Cemetery.
